With the escalating crisis of lawless ICE enforcement and violence in our communities and the fatal shootings by ICE agents of Renee Nicole Good and Keith Porter, let’s support two crucial proposals from Supervisor Nikki Fortunato Bas at the upcoming Board meeting: creation of Alameda County Immigration Enforcement Rapid Response and ICE free zones. 

The ICE Out of Dublin Coalition asks you to join us:

1. Attend the Board of Supervisors meeting on the 27th at 9:30am

2. Offer public comment (in-person or remotely) at the meeting or offer written comment

3. Reach out to individual members of the Board of Supervisors ask for their support. 

Please include in your message: 

My name is _____. I live in your district/am a member of an organization in your district/work in your district). Please support two very important proposals before the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, January 27:  l) Direction to the County Administrator to create a County Immigration Enforcement Response Plan and 2) Adoption of a policy for “ICE FREE ZONES”, restricting the use of county-owned and county-controlled parties for immigration enforcement activity. I also urge the Board to adopt a resolution opposing the re-opening of FCI Dublin as an immigration detention center. These proposals are urgently needed in light of the escalating crisis of ICE violence against our communities. Thank you for your support.

The federal government is proposing new rules that would:

Cut off Medicaid and CHIP funding to provide essential health care for transgender young people; and

Penalize hospitals that offer this care by prohibiting them from participating in Medicaid and Medicare.

Submit a public comment to block the proposals and defend trans care by 2/17.
