Join Center for Political Education’s Fighting Fascism Series: How do we organize against authoritarian rule and fascism in the US?
Center for Political Education is hosting a multi-part series to sharpen our shared understanding of how social movements in the US organize against fascist repression and violence. This series is intended to ground those newly activated by our current political crises in the history and theory of long-term working-class resistance to fascism, while providing more experienced organizers with a unifying frame for the fight across sectors of the left. In our third session, we're honored to host veteran activist, labor organizer, and political strategist Bill Fletcher Jr. for a discussion on the importance of political alliances, coalitions and united fronts in the fight against fascism. We'll discuss what these political formations entail, how they've been historically deployed, and the opportunities and challenges we must face head on in developing these structures to defeat MAGA today.
