We all know tech billionaires and corporations want to replace workers with AI, build a dystopian surveillance state, harvest our secrets and weaponize our data to drive up our prices, and let employers spy on their employees/sell their data/manage them with algorithms. They terrorize our communities and profit from our pain. Hospitals are using AI to treat patients. Governments are buying tech that can deny civil liberties or access to life-saving services. The list goes on. And on.

But we fight back! Join us at noon on Sept 1, at San Jose City Hall, to launch the Peoples Technology Coalition and build power to fight for 21st century rights for workers and communities. South Bay community organizations, unions, nonprofits, and youth groups will demand a seat at the table to lead a local movement and ensure policy makers regulate AI responsibly, so that it benefits all of us, not just Big Tech and its billionaire backers.
