We'll be canvassing in Bakersfield, a district that will see big elections in 2026. Bakersfield is home to a large community of immigrants, working-class people, and people severely impacted by federal cuts to healthcare and SNAP. Bakersfield -- and all of us -- deserve better!
We'll train you in deep canvassing, a method that involves asking lots of questions and listening deeply to what people care about, then sharing our own stories as a way to persuade people. This method has been proven to shift people's political views over the long term. During our canvass, we'll be talking to working-class voters who are disengaged from the political process.
At this info session, we'll share more about our initial results from phonebanking and canvassing in Bakersfield in 2025, talk more about deep canvassing and what it entails, share logistical details about our February canvass, and answer any questions you might have.
