What we’re witnessing in Los Angeles and across Southern California—ICE raids, armored vehicles, and masked agents—may feel like a distant issue but for immigrant workers, for day laborers, for our neighbors, it is already here. And Los Angeles is a testing ground for what will come soon across the country after the massive increase in ICE funding. This moment demands more than watching.
