We Ain’t Buying It

This administration is using our tax dollars to fund ICE raids while corporations lobby to slash healthcare, all while raking in record profits as our neighbors go hungry. Join us November 27th-December 1 forWe Ain’t Buying, a nation wide economic boycott this Black Friday through Cyber Monday. We’re not waiting for permission. We’re going on the offense, with our wallets.

This isn't just about skipping sales. It's a collective act of economic noncooperation: a chance to rethink where our money goes and what kind of systems it fuels. By logging out of shopping apps, skipping major retailer sales, and reinvesting in small or minority-owned businesses, we can make visible a different kind of power: people choosing purpose over profit.

Next week, we’re calling on our action pods and community members to host local actions:
Leaflet outside Target or Whole Foods (Amazon) to help spread the word that We Ain’t Buying It. Grab the toolkit here, bring your pod, and make some noise — whether it’s chanting, street theater, or handing out flyers with local alternatives to shop.

Action Toolkit

Why these corporations?

Amazon: Amazon is so big it's driving local business out of business decimating local economies. It is notorious for dangerous working conditions for warehouse employees and drivers. CEO Jeff Bezos has donated over $1 million to the MAGA administration in exchange for massive corporate tax cuts. Worst of all Amazon is enabling the ICE kidnappings that are separating immigrant families through Amazon Web Services. Amazon owns companies like Whole Foods, One Medical, MGM Studios & more.

Target: Target has rolled over and capitulated to the Trump regime. They rolled back their DEI initiatives, which included ending programs that help Black employees, cutting financial support for Black-owned businesses, and removing LGBTQ+ products from their stores. While we have seen a decrease in sales at Target we have to keep the pressure up this holiday season.

Home Depot: Home Depot is enabling ICE agents to illegally detain and kidnap laborers from their stores. The people who work in our communities, building and fixing our homes, schools and libraries, are not able to look for work safely. Home Depot’s holiday mega-sales don’t change the facts: The company brings in billions while allowing ICE to kidnap members of our community on store property.

Please focus on Target or Whole Foods for now, and follow the lead of Day Labor organizers and the ICE Out of Home Depot campaign for any Home Depot actions (details TBA soon).
